Abstract: In 1985 the idea of a complex propaganda project on the field of recreational sport in the SR of Slovenia (Yugoslavia) came to realisation. The basic goal was to increase the number of people regularly or frequently active in recreational sport and to whom this activity represents a life style. In other words, as many as possible inactive male and female Slovenes were to join the active in recreational sport. In parallel with this idea, the recognition that such a demanding and multidimensional project can only be realised with the formation of a team of professionals from different fields.
The concept and the realisation of this project will be carried out in phases, taking specially into account sociological and psychological norms, laws of marketing and communication, findings and postulates of the partial field of kineziology - recreational sport - and also other fields. Specially important is the participation of professionals from the field of marketing.
In this propaganda project a marketing approach will be used in the field of social activities, where the idea of active participation in recreational sport will be offered in a give-take process.
